Hi everybody, with this Panel we can create objects, “create” Panel is broken down into smaller subsets: Geometry, Shapes, Lights, Cameras, Helpers, Space Warps and Systems.

In the first part of this tutorial we will try to give you an idea about what we can do with “Geometry” subset in “Create” Panel.

Well with Geometry we can create any three-dimensional object like Boxes, cones, dampers…

Standard Primitives:

Choose Standard Primitives from Geometry Panel to create: Box, Cone, Sphere, GeoShpere, Cylinder, Tube, Torus, Pyramid, Teapot and Plane.

We can also create al lot of 3D objects like hose, capsule… just scroll down the Geometry list and choose the category and the object.

The Viewports in 3Ds Max

The Viewports are where we will be doing most of our works, when we open 3Ds max we can see that there are 4 Viewports: top, front, left and perspective.

How to change the Viewports ?

You can change the viewports as you like from Viewport configuration, go to Views > Viewport configuration, click on it and this window will appear.

Then click the Layout panel to see different available view type.

Then choose you best Viewport organization and click in each viewport image to select view type, and then click OK.

How to create a box with 3Ds MAX

Hi after the short introduction to 3D Studio MAX now we will see how to draw a brown box with 3D Studio MAX, just follow this steps

in 3Ds MAX there are 4 view:Top, Left, Front and Perspective viewport

To create our box we will work in Perspective viewport(like humans vision), select the Perspective viewport and then click Alt+W for the full-screen size.

There are many ways to create a basic object like Boxes, tubes, Pyramids.

Now to start creating your box choose your color(brown for example) and then click the box button.

Now select Keyboard Entry(in create panel) and enter the origin and parameters of your box, then click create to draw the box

That’s all :)
